Current work in progress
During these difficult times I am interested in how art can still hold a sense of importance in our lives. In a way it feels primitive to mark down major events in our lives through image and colour. It could be this primitive impulse that makes the arts more prevalent in these difficult times. Through painting and mark making I want to show how our lives are changing and being forced into a physically solitude world. With expressive, high energy paintings of abandoned furniture and dominating shapes, I want to question how our lives have become increasingly absent and how we all fear one another and the ever-increasing death toll. Will art help us come together in these difficult times and will it help us question the things happening in the world?
